Archery experience

In the 16th century it was mandatory for all men and boy’s (of a fighting age) to practice their archery, every Sunday before and after going to church.

Archery is a sport that dates back to as far as 25,000BC and has helped create the well known and heroic tales of Robin Hood and has featured in many a cowboy and Indian film.

Why not give it a go and test your arrow shooting skills against your friends, family or work colleges. Learn the basics of the art of archery and find out how you shoot under the pressure of some friendly competition. The instructors we use will give you the best coaching they can. Including the skills to be able to hit the Target and go away feeling extremely satisfied.

We promise this will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all.

Available as part of a multi-activity day.

Abseiling

Abseiling is a climbing technique that allows descent of a steep rock slope. It has been used by climbers and mountaineers for decades as a way of retreating off high alpine climbing routes and now is one of the most popular outdoor recreational activities!

It is an amazing adrenaline rush and a challenge that will really push you to your limits in a safe and controlled environment. You will be rewarded by amazing views as you try your hands at one or both of our 2 abseils. Both of which vary in gradient but are equally exhilarating.

Starting at the top of the cliff with the gabions and problem solving challenges spanned below you. The instructors will carefully explain everything thoroughly, introduce you to equipment, show you the technique and then in true ‘mission impossible’ style you’ll set off abseiling down to the bottom. Try ‘bouncing’ your way down the rock if you dare! Sessions last 2 hours for a specific abseil taster session or abseiling can be included in a multi day alongside other activities.

Available as part of a mulit-activity day.
