Cornwall voted top staycation destination

Not only is it our favourite, it is officially the nation’s favourite as Cornwall has just been voted the top staycation destination in a recent UK survey.

The United Kingdom is bursting with wonderful scenic countryside and coastal locations and we are thrilled that the place that we love has pipped the top spot beating out other favourite southwest hotspots Devon, Dorset and Somerset (which respectively took 2nd, 3rd and 4th) as well as the likes of Northumberland, Norfolk and London.

Holidaying at home seems to be bang on trend in 2019 and we can certainly see why Cornwall has made it to number one!

The research, which was conducted by photo printing specialists CEWE, also found that Truro was voted as one of the UK’s most beautiful cities coming in the top 20

And The National Trust’s St Michael’s Mount voted as one of the country’s best landmarks, along with topping the bill as the “most photogenic location” in the whole of the UK! What an achievement. We have to say, the mount is a must visit when staying with us.

From our rugged coastline and quiet coves, to our golden sandy beaches and quaint Cornish towns and harbour villages, a holiday to Poldark county has to be on your bucket list and only staycation destination. Whether it be this year or next, we say ditch the passport and come and experience a little bit of Kernow life.
