Cornwall is a magical place all year round, but there is something about Christmas time that really adds a little sparkle to your Cornish winter experience.
In the run up to Christmas there are endless experiences to get involved with; a Cornish December really would finish 2014 on a high. It’s far too easy to go into hibernation during the winter months, we all know that snuggling in front of a log fire watching Christmas movies is satisfying but don’t miss out – grab your woollies and take a peek at a few of our favourite things not to be missed this December.
The Eden Project has a Winter Festival not to be missed – meet Santa and his real reindeer, take to the ice rink which carries on into the evening and join in with the festive storytelling and craft workshops throughout December. Not to mention the homemade food (which is to die for!). Psst.. Don’t forget our Country View Cottages guests get a reduced entry when booking direct through us!
Discover the Christmas trail at Trebah Gardens in the run up to Christmas. Follow the Elves antics and unravel the riddles to lead your way to a Christmas treat. Tickets are valid for 7 days giving you plenty of time to explore the magic of the Cornish Valley Garden and return in time for a special meet and greet with Father Christmas.
Santa Fun Runs will be taking place across Cornwall throughout December in aid of Cornwall’s Hospice Care. Young and old alike are able to get involved, and there will be mince pies to celebrate at the end of each run (how could you resist!). You can find full details of the runs including locations and dates here. Do something good, for yourselves and charity, this Christmas!
The comfort of indoors too tempting? Why not take yourselves to the theatre. The Hall for Cornwall in Truro has a great range of shows this festive season. In addition, Truro has a great range of festive activities taking place during December, why not experience the theatre and treat yourself in the Christmas market at the same time!
